Two Bishop teenagers were hospitalized last night from injuries sustained in a violent car accident near the City of Bishop.

According to the CHP a 17 year old Bishop boy was at the wheel of this 2003 Honda around 9:30 Monday night. The teenager was driving southbound on Brockman Lane, south of Dixon Lane at what the CHP described as a high rate of speed.

For an unknown reason, the boy ran off the roadway. His car veered off through the dirt shoulder and up a dirt embankment which caused the vehicle to overturn an undetermined number of times.

The Honda came to rest on its wheels and had sustained major rollover damage. The driver of the car suffered moderate injuries. His passenger, a 15 year old Bishop girl, suffered major injuries. Both teens were transported to Northern Inyo Hospital. This collision remains under investigation
