Press release

Two new restrooms are scheduled to be installed in Bishop tomorrow, 24 August.

The pre-fabricated restrooms are scheduled to be lifted into place by crane starting at 7 am. One of the restrooms is in Talmage Park on Academy Avenue near Main Street and the other is in the back of the City Park near the Senior Center.

The $360,000 city restroom project will install a new two-user restroom at the Talmage Park location and install a new six-user restroom at the City Park location. The project is funded by the City of Bishop.

The contractor on the project is Doug Clair, Incorporated, of Bishop. The restrooms were fabricated in Nevada.

The installation of the restrooms tomorrow follows a few month break in the construction at the restroom sites during the time the buildings were being fabricated.

Once the buildings are in place, final concrete will be placed and utility connections will be made.

It is hoped the Talmage Park restroom will be ready for use next week and the City Park restroom ready about a week after that.
