Update on State of the Inyo (National Forest)

INF press release

Good morning:

There may be some later additions to report as we work through flooded areas, but this what it looks like for the Fourth of July weekend.

Obsidian and Hartley Campgrounds are open. Moraine and Lower Lee Vining Campgrounds  have re-opened (with the exception of some creek side sites for flooding).

Big Pine Campground is open, but without water, so advise campers.

Tioga Pass and Old Mammoth Road are open.

North Lake Rd. and Onion Valley  Rd.  are closed for flooding. In both cases, this is near the end of the roads. Parking will be very difficult in these areas  since the parking lots are beyond the closures..

Stay safe this weekend.

Does this mean Patriarch Grove is not accessible at the moment? How is it looking for an opening? Any plans to grade it this year? Thank you!
