… and one more thing. The Tea Party is what they call an “Astro Turf” or fake grass roots movement funded by big business to promote deregulation — so they can pollute the oceans like BP did in the Gulf — and avoid taxes and ship jobs overseas without any… Read more »
for you spell checkers…yes I meant “demoralization”….
LOL I knew what you meant Rock
Ken…your graphs simply depict the demorization of America. All you really suppose here is that Bush had more heart for the poor and underpriviledged during the economic bubble than any firm lefties want to credit him for. I’m SO over the blame Bush thing! The legislature responsible for the economic… Read more »
Question: In your estimation, do a number of “Tea Baggers”rely on Social Security and Medicare? If so,
why not provide help of different kinds for other needs – universal health care, which could be considered
extended Medicare? Or is help only for those over 65 or 62? Benett Kessler
“universal health care” is seemingly going to be required for all people, and if you opt-out you pay a fine, but you pay either way, so it is forced, no? One pays into social security (forced) but you don’t have to collect it, you don’t have to cash the checks… Read more »
When it comes to health care, the government should offer the option of care. In a civilized and wealthy society, it is a tragedy that many people die because they are afraid to go to the hospital for care without insurance that they can’t afford. Ask local doctors. It goes… Read more »
Bravo BK
More brave words. The government is not doing everything for you, the government (aka we the people) just want you to step up to your responsibility and be prepared for the inevitable. Something you think you have the right to be unprepared for — at the cost of increasing responsible… Read more »
The term “Tea Bagger” was originally a crude pejorative applied against gays to demean them. Its use now as a vulgar parody of the name of a group of your fellow citizens with whom you happen to disagree politically is no less odious. Permitting its promiscuous use on this site… Read more »
You’re right. It’s used so commonly I have forgotten its origin. The rest of my reply stands as is, however. BK
Oh please, outrage against a label while applying labels all over the place like the World was your refrigerator door. Who cares? And given the chosen name of the group is Tea Party, one more level of rediculosity seems barely noticeable.
since I have been called a “Tea bagger” on this blog many times I would have to agree with you.
Awake ..YES
Teabagger … NO
Once again (this is really tiring) the Tea Bags have created their own alternate universe where they are wanting to, “… move on…” and are “…so over blaming Bush…” because they don’t want to take the responsibility for their deeds so they can excoriate others for doing what they did.… Read more »
@upthecreek
The only one “out of control” here is you. You would make a great addition to the show Doomsday Preppers.
@ Native
Sounds like you are very familiar with that show..LOL

in my opinion, the reason why most 18-24 yr olds are un employed is, un-motivated, is the slacker/entiltement generation. there may be more reasons, who knows…..
Well I think you’re right about the slacker entitlement un motivated thing. But it isn’t really the present younger generation that is guilty of it, it started with their parents generation, but it was caused by the tail end of the baby boomer generation, when they all started thinking we… Read more »
Don’t worry, Obama says the economy is rebounding, 46.5 million on food stamps, 46.5 million , %54 percent of adults(18-24of age) are unemployed, gas is over $4 dollars a gal. pretty much everywhere, This is Change we can believe in. And this is only the beginning
…says another Fox News “informed” stooge.
54% of 18 to 24 year olds are unemployed?…Where did you get that from?…..If that is true….and that’s a BIG if,a big reason for it is because a lot of 18-24 year olds either aren’t looking for work or don’t want to work.I have always felt,no matter where you live,if… Read more »
Wayne Deja seems correct. I just fired the second white American guy that was 30 or under and it was because he was lazy. Probably drank and smoked too much pot. I could not get these guys to understand their basic jobs and they would not be very motivated ever!… Read more »

Yep it’s kind of like what I said in an earlier post, the present generation has lost a lot of common sense and a sense of a good work ethic, but then the ones who suffer from this, usually have a very good teacher. As Ken said, it is not… Read more »
The number of people on food stamps began increasing the year Bush took office. http://www.trivisonno.com/food-stamps-charts And thank whatever god you believe in that there are 45 million less hungry people. Debate is always superior to mocking. I will note, however, that I personally believe government has no business dictating what women do in regard to their sex and reproductive lives.
