The article describes Mammoth as a “quick getaway” and a “good way to bring the family back together again.” As a young married couple, writer Leslie Miedo and her husband concentrated on downhill skiing at the Mountain. Years later with their two sons, they went for the Tamarack Cross Country Ski Center, snowshoes and breathtaking scenery.

The writer’s family indulged in a guided snowmobile ride through the Inyo National Forest. The next day, they headed to June Mountain for a day of downhill.

The article lists phone numbers and brief facts about Mammoth and June Mountains, Tamarack and Mammoth Snowmobile Adventures, plus Snowcreek Resort and some restaurants.

Westways, the official Auto Club magazine, is published every other month and claims a circulation of 3,676,000 – the tenth largest magazine circulation in the nation. So, yes, quite a few people will see the article on Mammoth.
