The embezzlement trial of Dawndee Rossy was scheduled to resume April 22 in Independence but has been postponed, again. No date has been set.

Appointed Judge Philip Argento has been reviewing the defense’s motion to exclude evidence presented during the bench trial as well as District Attorney Thomas Hardy’s response during the last month. According to Hardy, Argento needs more time to determine his ruling. There was more than 500 pieces of evidence in what Hardy has described as a complex trial.

Rossy was arrested on 44 felony charges April 11, 2013. The primary charge is embezzlement of $1.5 million from Inyo County Department of Health and Human Services where Rossy was employed.
