A New Years Eve celebration gone bad behind a local bar. Bishop Police responded to the back of Rusty’s Saloon at 1:15 am Friday regarding a report of a fight that resulted in an injury.

Police said when they arrived, they learned that the victim, Peggy Feigner of Bishop had left Rusty’s and was standing outside the Bar with a male companion when she was attacked by the suspect and injured. The suspect is Jessica Breanne Howe, a 23-year-old hair stylist of Bishop.

An ambulance transported Ms. Feigner to Northern Inyo Hospital. Due to the nature and severity of her injuries, Feigner was transferred to Renown Medical Center in Reno, Nevada, where she was listed in stable condition.

Police searched for suspect Howe and at 3am she turned up at the Police Department. Officers arrested her for alleged battery with injury and booked her at the County Jail. Police said a formal complaint was filed with the District Attorney.

Feigner’s companion, Mr. Norman Hollis, 50, of Mammoth Lakes, sustained injuries and was described as the victim of a misdemeanor battery. The suspect in that incident, 21-year-old Andrew Charles Warye of Bishop was placed under a private person’s arrest for misdemeanor battery and later released on a promise to appear in court.
