Monday morning reports started to filter in to the Bishop Police Department for three reports of crimes that may have all occurred Sunday night, including a gold cross stolen from a local church.

Just before 7:00 a.m. Monday, Police received a report of a vehicle stolen from Home Street. The 1997 silver Honda Accord was reported stolen from the 800 block on Home Street. The owner had last seen the car Sunday night at 9:00.

At 8:30 Monday morning, police took a report of property damage at Perry Motors in Bishop. Five vehicles had been keyed, racking up over $5,000 in damages. That crime apparently occurred sometime after closing Saturday night and early Monday morning.

At 10:30 Monday morning police received the report that someone had broken into the First Methodist Church in Bishop. Interior and exterior doors were damaged, police report. $50 in cash was taken along with a gold cross and chain with a monetary value of about $300. This crime likely occurred after 8:30 Sunday night.

Whether the crimes are related is not known. There are no suspects at this time. Police say investigations will continue.
