The Mammoth Lakes Chamber of Commerce is scheduled to host a second public forum on May 11th to help voters choose between the many candidates up for local office.

mammoth_voters-2Larry Johnston and Bill Sauser are running for Supervisor in District 1. Current Sheriff Rick Scholl is up against CHP Officer Doug Northington for Mono Sheriff.

Randy Gephart, Mark Magit and Therese Hankel are all running for Mono Superior Court Judge.

Like the recent Mammoth Town Council Candidates Forum, Jack Copeland is scheduled to moderate, asking questions that will be sent in beforehand and submitted at the Forum.

The Candidates Forum on Tuesday May 11th is set to be held in the Mammoth Town Council chambers, Suite Z, upstairs at the Minaret Shopping Center starting at 5:00 pm.

Mono Sheriff Candidates Rick Scholl and Doug Northington are set to appear at a candidates forum on Wednesday May 12th in Lee Vining hosted by the Mono Basin Regional Planning Advisory Council.

The judge candidates have been invited. Supervisor candidates for District 4, Tim Fesko, Bobby Tems, Renn Nolan and Tim Hansen have also been invited.

The event is described as an open question and answer session and is set for the Lee Vining Community Center on Wednesday May 12th, between 5:30 and 7:00 pm.

Then on May 18th, candidates in Inyo County elections have been invited to attend a public candidates forum in Independence presented by the Independence Civic Club.

County Clerk-Recorder Candidates Kammi Foote and Merie Hannah are set to be there.

The two district attorney candidates, Gerard Harvey and incumbent Art Maillet are on the list to speak.

For Treasurer Tax Collector, there are two candidates as well, Jeff Buss and Alisha McMurtrie

This candidates forum put together by the Independence Civic Club is scheduled for Tuesday May 18th at 6:30 pm in the American Legion Hall in Independence.
