Former Mammoth Lakes daycare provider Lupe Almaguer remains in the Mono County Jail under a half million dollars bail mono_courthouse_10-08and faces four counts of child molestation. Mono Court has scheduled his case for an appearance tomorrow in Bridgeport.

Mammoth Police had arrested Almaguer in October. Officers had alleged that Almaguer committed crimes of sexual abuse on children in his care who are now adults.

Authorities have remained close-mouthed on this case but have indicated that the investigation does continue. Originally, the Mono District Attorney’s office filed two counts of child molestation. In November Deputy DA Todd Graham filed an amended felony complaint to add two more counts.

It is unknown of Almaguer himself will make an appearance tomorrow. He did file a waiver for his attorney, public defender Dave Hammond, to appear for him without his presence.
