The Inyo County District Attorneys office has filed autho theft charges against Bishop resident Ryan Lent.

On Monday night Highway Patrol Officers took the report on a Blue Toyota Previa stolen out of the Paiute Palace parking lot at 7:45 pm. The CHP put the call out to be on the lookout for the Toyota and within ten minutes the Bishop Police spotted a vehicle matching that description, officers report.

Officers stopped the vehicle at the Pizza Factory where further investigation led to the arrest of 31 year old Bishop Resident Ryan Lent.

Assistant District Attorney Mark Johnson reports that Lent was charged with auto theft, possession of a stolen auto, and DUI. With a prior conviction for auto theft, plus a strike for burglary in 1995, Johnson reports that Lent faces the possibility of 9 and a half years in prison if convicted of these charges.
