After lengthy investigations, the Mono County District Attorneys office has filed charges against 25 year old Colin Batterham and 30 year old Sara Wiesmiller, arrested in August for alleged embezzlement at the Econo Lodge in Mammoth.

At the time of the arrests, Police said that the two worked at a hotel in Mammoth as a manager and as a maintenance worker.

The two are alleged to have created a business account under the motel owner's name, then routed transactions to a second account in the name of Batterham, according to Deputy District Attorney Kyle Graham.

Several thousand dollars are alleged to have been diverted into a second account, according to Graham. He reports that the two face felony charges of grand theft and embezzlement. Sarah Weismiller faces an additional felony charge of forgery.
