At 6:02pm Wednesday Bishop Police received a call that a hold-up was in progress at Chase Bank on Main St. Officers responded within minutes. Both Bishop Police and Inyo Sheriff’s deputies scoured the area in search of the suspect. At last word he was still at large.

Bishop Police Sergeant Dan Nolan said the man had entered the bank, walked up to a teller and demanded cash. He had a gun. The robber did get money and immediately fled from the bank onto Main St. It is unknown if he were on foot or had a vehicle in the vicinity. Anonymous callers to the police department offered tips but none panned out.

The police provided us with security camera photos of the suspect. Police dusted for prints at the bank last night and continued to search the area for the suspect.

Be on the look out for this man and call police with any solid clues. 760-873-5866.
