9am-11am Volunteer at the Community Garden

11am-noon Warm Season Gardening Workshop

noon-1:30 Garden Celebration with food and music

From 9am-11am, please join fellow gardening enthusiasts for a Community Garden Work Day. This is a great opportunity to help prepare the Bishop Community Garden for its second season of gardening, for students to earn community service hours, and for everyone to come out and enjoy the Bishop Community Garden.

From 11am-noon, please join the University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE) Inyo & Mono Counties Master Gardeners for a Warm Season Gardening Workshop. At this free workshop, Master Gardeners will present on how to cultivate some of your favorite warm season crops, how to successfully transplant, and more.

From noon-1:30pm, please join the Bishop Community Garden for the 2nd Annual Garden Opening Day to celebrate the beginning of another successful season. Enjoy an afternoon in the garden with delicious food provided by The Secret Sandwich Society and live music by Halfway to Benton.

Please join us for a fabulous day with great gardening information, food and music —

come celebrate and support gardening in our Bishop community!

The Community Garden is located behind Sterling Heights, in the southeast corner of the Bishop City Park.  For more information, contact Gail Swain at 760-872-2428.
