Funeral services will be on Monday, December 21, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the
Daniel Funeral Home Chapel in St. Cloud for Huan T. Tran, 35, of St. Cloud
died Dec. 12, 2009 in the Sierras Mt. in Calf. while sleeping. Reverend
Richard Leisen will officiate. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery.
Family and friends may call after 10:00 a.m. until time of service on Monday
at the funeral home in St. Cloud.

He was in Big Pine working on a microwave telescope named PolarBear for his
physics research. Huan was born in Vietnam and immigrated to the US when
he was 7 months old. Huan was the valedictorian at Tech High, class of
1992. He earned his bachelor degree from SCSU in 1996 and his PhD from
Princeton NJ in 2002. He was currently working at the Unv. of Berkeley Calf.

Huan was deeply passionate in his field of experimental physics expanding
the world understanding of the cosmic universes origin. His pioneering
research helped develop the instruments used to measure and decode the
beginning of time. Huan has traveled the world around from the deserts of
New Mexico to the mountain tops of the Chilean Andes chasing his thirst of
knowledge.

Huan was also an accomplished photographer with his images capturing
perspectives as innovative as his research. He believed that good photos
told good stories and his pictures reflected this. He was also a hobbyist of
R/C planes and helicopters. He loved to build and fly these machines even
though it usually meant days of construction for seconds in the air.
Huan was a devout son, brother and role model to his entire family. Huan is
survived by his parents Huy and Nhung of St. Cloud. He was the second
youngest of four brothers and two sisters, Oanh, Hoang, Hai, Yen and Long.
Huan was also an uncle to seven nephews and three nieces.
