The Mammoth Lakes community and family members were deeply saddened by the sudden loss of a long-time resident, 38-year-old Cary Shibley.

The Long Valley Fire Department was called out when family members found Cary collapsed on the floor of her home in Crowley. The Mono County Sheriff’s Department sent the coroner to the Juniper Drive home, where he declared Ms. Shibley deceased.

The cause of death is pending investigation by the Sheriff’s Office. Meanwhile, family members said that Cary had put together a busy day Tuesday and they said her death appears accidental.

Cary Shibley was the long-time owner of Spoiled Rotten pet grooming business in Mammoth Lakes. She was the favorite of many pets and people, with a natural love for animals.

Cary Shibley is survived by her parents, Brian and Kathy Shibley of Crowley and her brother Steve Shibley of Bishop.
