FRIDAY 24-JUN-2011, 7:19 AM

Our ridge of high pressure, the one that brought us the short hot spell, has weakened and is now over New Mexico. An upper level trough currently positioned over the PACNW coast, will be a determiner in our weather for next 2 – 3 days. No moisture here, but its cooler air will filter down into our area. This will gradually dip temperatures back to the normal range. So the Owens Valley is looking at the low to mid 90s and Mono County the mid 80s over the weekend. With all of this, the only issue for our district is an increase in the winds each afternoon. Temps will warm briefly on Monday, then take a slight dip on Tuesday as another low just clips Northern California.
