FRIDAY MAY 22 2020
Near normal temperatures will last thru the weekend, as a series of weather systems move north of our forecast area and keep our temperatures in check. One such system will bring breezy weather to our area today and an elevated fire danger. On Memorial Day, a broad ridge of high pressure (@590 dm) builds into the Great Basin and will give a quick boost to temperatures into next week. By Thursday of next week, the Owens Valley is likely to see the upper 90s and Mammoth Lakes the upper 70s. One Note, the return of Summer – Like temperatures will accelerate snow melt, resulting in higher, swifter flows on area rivers…DMATT
