FRIDAY DEC 06 2019

WEATHER DISCUSSION:

Season total so far at top of Mammoth Mountain, 89 inches. After a brief break most of the day yesterday, the next storm arrives later today into the weekend. This is a Winter Type storm, but with warmer temperatures. We should then see wet, heavy snow in the mountains above 7,000 feet. It will hit in two waves, Friday night into Saturday morning, then later Saturday into late Saturday night. That storm should wind down Sunday, with improving conditions. Short wave ridging will then build in, into early next week, with a much deserved break from the active weather…DMATT
