In the big picture, here mid August, we remain sandwiched between an upper trough off the PACNW coast and a large ridge anchored over Texas. Between these forces, there continues to be a dry SW flow and breezy PM winds. Temps will remain at seasonal norms and should stay that way for the next few days. By mid week, that Texas ridge will move westward. An influx of monsoonal moisture <may> accompany this ridge by about Wednesday night into Friday. However, at this time, it appears that the moisture will be to shallow to bring a significant threat of T-Storms over higher terrain. I will keep my eye on this so stay tuned for update.
