High pressure from the desert SW continues to edge westward. Its now over New Mexico. With this, temps will move to century mark in the Owens valley and the low to mid 80s in Mammoth. Along with this, moisture trapped under the ridge, will bring a slight chance of thunderstorms along the Sierra Crest in the afternoon, particularly in Mono County, today and Wednesday. However, just like yesterday, cloud cover could slow down the warm up for the next few days. Temperatures should peak by Thursday, but stay quite warm through the weekend.
