A ridge of high pressure, over the Southern Sates, has nudged westward into our area today and through the weekend. This will bring warmer temperatures and a stream of monsoon moisture. This sets up a slight chance of thunderstorms to the district, starting today in Mono County and as early as Friday evening for the Owens Valley. By Saturday and Sunday, those thunderstorm chances increase. Continued chance of isolated thunderstorms over the Crest on Monday. Then a dry southwest flow moves in to effectively end this pattern by Tuesday or Wednesday.
