WEDNESDAY June 13, 2012

So far low pressure passing to our north has kept our June temps in check. Another weak system will pass thru Thursday and Friday. This will bring on the threat of showers and T-Storms over the Crest (particularly on Friday for Mono County) as cooler air mixes with the warmer valley air. Moisture may be limited in some areas, so dry lightning is possible. The weekend looks to start a warming trend into mid next week, as a strong ridge of high pressure nudges in from the Pacific and strengthens. This trend looks to produce above normal temperatures in our district. Is the real June finally here.
