WEATHER DISCUSSION:

The first day of Spring today and Spring showers are here. The inbound Pacific trough axis becomes more elongated overnight tonight, with showers persisting in our area into Thursday. Again this is a weak storm by Sierra standards. Snow levels 6,000 feet with 5 – 10 inches possible thru Thursday. Trough shifts east Thursday night into Friday morning, allowing most of Friday to be precipitation free. If you are looking for a window to cross the Sierra, Friday might be the ticket…DMATT
