WEATHER DISCUSSION:

After that weak storm hobbled through yesterday (bringing 6 inches of new snow to Mammoth Mountain), high pressure starts to build in off the coast today. Brush by systems to our north, will bring breezy weather at times and passing overhead clouds. That ridge axis sits squarely overhead by Thursday, so decent atmospheric warming then, with daytime temps in the low 60s in the Owens Valley. The ridge begins to weaken Friday into the weekend, as a few weak disturbances continue to pass to our north. This will set up slightly cooler temperatures. Right now the first system to drop far enough south to bring some meaningful precipitation, might be the 23rd / 24th. I will keep you updated…DMATT
