“Giving you the reasons why Eastern Sierra weather happens.”

THURSDAY October 04, 2012

Big cool down coming this weekend into next week. So for the moment, a trough digging into the Rockies will finally smash that persistent ridge, the one that has brought above normal temperatures for some time now. This will start to cool things down this weekend. Another low, which has been sitting out in the Pacific for a week now (west of Northern Mexico) will move off the CA coast, then very slowly drift inland next week. Right now its a dry storm, but as it drifts onshore through CA it could pick up a little moisture, so I’ll throw in a slight chance of showers next Monday into Wednesday over the Sierra. If this low stalls over CA all next week, it could get interesting. One thing is for sure next week, Fall will be here in spades. Stay tuned for updates.
