A dry SW flow continues to bring clear skies and temps at seasonal norms through Friday. Over the weekend, an upper ridge over the desert SW amplifies westward and this will bring both warmer temperatures and a little moisture, in the form of clouds, to the area by Sunday and Monday. Much of what happens next week, T-Storm wise, depends on Hurricane Dora (now off of Baja) and its relationship with the trough off the west coast.  If the trough deepens then most of Dora’s moisture will hit a “brick wall.”  If not, we might see a little monsoon action here. Stay tuned for updates.

Air quality in the Owens Valley continues to run in the moderate to poor range, due to the various fires on the west side of the Sierra.
