WED AUG 14 2013

After what seems like a good stretch of September weather, we are going to have a slow warming trend for the next few days. All courtesy of that persistent Four Corners High, now located over Arizona. So temperatures will return to normal or just above through then; more like August. Humidity levels will run in the single digits and teens for the next several days as well. We also have an upper low from the Gulf of Alaska, dropping south to a position off the PACNW coast. By Saturday, that low will eject a piece of energy across Northern California. This combined with a little sub-tropical moisture traveling along with the Four Corners high, will create a slight chance of thunderstorms, mainly over the Sierra Crest, Kings Canyon and Yosemite. After that, high pressure reasserts itself through mid next week.
