High pressure influences our district today before a trough of low pressure sets up along the coast tomorrow.  With this high pressure, a southeasterly flow has developed and this might bring a few thunderstorms to the mountains this afternoon. But on Tuesday, as that trough moves onshore, the flow turns more southwesterly and this pretty much reduces any thunderstorm activity. Temps stay just at seasonal norms through Friday. Then high pressure re-exerts itself and temps warm up with another chance of mountain thunderstorms over the weekend. As of now, most of the deep moisture will remain near the Mexican border. But, any flow on the  west side of the ridge, could “seep” limited moisture from the south. Stay tuned for updates.
