Shortwave energy (from the PACNW) has dropped south into Mono County and this creates a chance of showers & thunderstorms there. By Friday the threat spreads down thru Inyo County and the Kern Mountains, then into SOCAL. So, a chance of showers & thunderstorms should continue thru the weekend, in our forecast area. Past that, strengthening hurricane Blanca could bring a surge of moisture up thru the tip of Baja into SOCAL. Lets wait and see on this and how it effects us.
