diaryofedenThe idea for performing a play the weekend of January 24 grew out of the activities which were planned for the Snow Festival. Now that the Snow Festival has been cancelled, we are the main event. Our offering is called the “Diaries of Eden” and we will be appearing in the main lobby of the historic Heidelberg Inn on Jan 24/25 at6:30.  Admission is free. We are providing refreshments. Donations are welcome. We are doing what is called a staged reading which includes some script reading but also includes acting out of the parts as the play unfolds. The screenplay was written by a local actor and writer, Jesse Steele and is centered around the life and work of Mark Twain. The play is in three parts and this episode reveals Twain as a miner who discovers his talent for storytelling after hours in the local saloon.

If you attend plays in Mammoth you will recognize many of the actors in our presentation. We are hoping that this is the beginning of a grand tradition in June Lake and we’d love you to come and help us kick it off.

After the performances, enjoy a meal at one of our local eateries.       -Alice Suszynski
