Law enforcement in Mono County chased a Bishop man through waist deep snow overnight Monday after an alleged drunk driving accident

Close to 1:00 am Tuesday morning, Highway Patrol Officers spotted what they believed was a vehicle stuck in the snow near the junction of Highway 203 and 395. When officers approached the vehicle, footprints were spotted in the snow leading away from the vehicle. CHP officers report that they then called in the Mammoth Lakes Police, the Mono County Sheriffs Department and Mono Search and Rescue to find what appeared to be a missing person.

While following the tracks, officers report that the tracks appeared to double back on themselves. After about an hour and a half to two hours of searching, officers report that they found and arrested 28-year-old Adam Thomason for DUI and evading arrest. Thomason was taken to the hospital where his temperature was reported to be 91 degrees.
