02.02.20 pursuit

“On February 2, 2020 at approximately 4:10 PM, Bishop CHP received multiple 9-1-1 calls, reporting a female driver of a Nissan SUV, identified as Kimberly Sue Hahn of Auburn, CA, driving recklessly along southbound US-395 south of Keough Hot Springs Road.  Approximately six minutes later, a Bishop CHP patrol officer located the reported vehicle and attempted to make an enforcement stop near Reynolds Road and Juniper Road in Big Pine, CA.  Hahn failed to yield to the officer and a pursuit ensued.  Hahn traveled eastbound on County Road before turning onto southbound US-395, reaching speeds near 100 MPH.  At approximately 4:41 PM, Hahn pulled to the right shoulder of US-395, approximately three miles south of Independence, CA but refused to exit the vehicle.  Traffic along US-395 was closed in both directions for the safety of traveling motorists.  After a nine minute standoff, Hahn exited the vehicle and was placed under arrest without incident. Hahn was transported to Inyo County Jail where she was booked on charges of Felony Evading, Misdemeanor DUI, and Misdemeanor Driving on Suspended Driver’s License.”
