From ESRC

Friends –

The Eastern Sierra Recreation Collaborative (ESRC) is pleased to remind you of a special wrap-up meeting this Monday, August 15 at Cerro Coso Community College in Bishop starting at 6:00 PM to conclude its series of public meetings held in gateway communities of the Eastern Sierra.

The three gateway community meetings provided participants an opportunity to identify specific “desired conditions” in the Inyo National Forest Draft Land Management Plan (Plan) and Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS), that may be unique to their community’s sustainable recreation needs.

Here’s your friendly reminder:

The Monday, August 15 wrap-up meeting will have a twofold purpose: to review and to refine the “desired conditions” as offered by participants at the three gateway community meetings, and to review and refine these “desired conditions” in the context of the five areas of emphasis utilized by participants. These efforts will be helpful to the public as they prepare their comments on the Inyo National Forest Draft Land Management Plan (Plan) and Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) which are due on August 25.

Thank you for your ongoing interest in ESRC and the Inyo National Forest Land Management Plan revision process, and we are all very much looking forward to seeing you this Monday August 15 at 6:00 PM in Bishop, CA at the Cerro Coso Community College.

And please remember that all of your comments on the revised Inyo National Forest Land Managment Plan will be due to the U.S. Forest Service on August 25 – that’s ony 13 days away – but who’s counting, right?

Thanks again – !
