Fundraiser collections have been set up at a local bank for the three families that have recently lost their homes to fire.

On Saturday, December 5th, a fire broke out between two homes on Navajo Circle in Bishop. Despite the tremendous efforts of the fire fighters, the blaze destroyed the homes of Leo and Sandy Weber, along with Tom and Felicia Moffett.

Just days later, on Wednesday December 9th, a fire destroyed the home of the Charlie family in Big Pine.

Now, people who are interested in helping out can donate to accounts set up for the three families at Union Bank in Bishop. Union Bank staff explained that its easy to donate to these accounts that go directly to the families in need, you simply have to go to the bank and ask to deposit money in the account of which individual family you want to help. You can donate to one family or all three, either way, bank staff will make sure that the donation gets where its supposed to be going.
