Delectable dishes from local restaurants and caterers.

The Bishop Area Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau has two great events coming up this weekend and everyone is cordially invited to join in on the fun & fundraising!  On Friday evening, May 4th the chamber will host “A Taste of the Sierra” in conjunction with the annual home show in the Charles Brown Building at the Tri-County Fairgrounds.  Come out and enjoy great food prepared by some of our area’s best restaurants and caterers.  Your $20 donation includes unlimited food sampling plus two beverage tickets.  The Taste of the Sierra starts at 6pm this Friday night.

On Saturday, May 5th, it’s the second annual Mikrobierfest!  Attendees will enjoy samples of great craft-brewed beers in the Home Economics Building at the Tri-County Fairgrounds.  A regular ticket is just $30 dollars and includes twelve (12) five-ounce samples from 5pm until 10pm.  For just $10 more, you can get a V.I.P. ticket, which will grant you early admission – From 3pm until 5pm, V.I.P. ticket holders will enjoy unlimited samples, get two free street tacos, see a brewing demonstration and watch the locals home brew competition, plus you’ll get the twelve (12) five-ounce samples from 5-10pm.   There will be live music and great food, too.

Both the Taste of the Sierra and Mikrobierfest are important fundraisers that support the many important projects of the Bishop Area Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau.
