Stay tuned for new act

The Bishop Mule Days Celebration regrets to announce that its 2012 concert headliner, Terri Clark, has cancelled her May 24th appearance.

“ It’s our understanding Ms. Clark cancelled four West Coast appearances in May, including ours, due to scheduling conflicts,” Barbara Laughon, Bishop Mule Days spokesman, said. “While naturally this is a disappointment, we are in talks with another nationally-recognized vocalist who is willing to step in at this late date.”

Laughon said Mule Days will announce the new headliner within the next few days. Ticketholders are encouraged to wait for further instruction once the new headliner is confirmed.

Please contact the Mule Days office at (760) 872-4263 for additional details.

The Lava Girls are available and would LOVE to be the headline act at Mule Days!

I did a bit of sleuthing and discovered that they have been trying for nine years to get booked at Mule Days, but to no avail. 🙁 Wouldn’t it be great if residents of Bishop and Mammoth could help persuade the Mule Days Board to hire the girls as the feature act for this year?

These girls are no strangers to high profile shows. I learned that in September the girls will be performing for The Infinity Car Corporation in front of 10,000 plus people!

Not only would the girls cost less than a larger names act, but consider what a boon that would be to their local ticket sales and it would show all our visitors what talent our hometown girls possess! With gas prices the way they are, my guess is that many folks from afar may not be returning to Mule Days, so let’s support a grass roots effort to encourage local residents of the Eastern Sierra to buy tickets if The Lava Girls perform.

Please help support this effort. If you know somebody who knows someone on the Mule Days Board, put in a good word and let’s get the girls back home to Bishop!

Extremely sad that the MD Board didn’t even TRY to contact The Lava Girls. 🙁

Uncle Who? I won’t be buying any tickets.
