Today, the Inyo County Board of Supervisors announced the appointment of Margaret Kemp-Williams as Inyo’s next County Counsel. The appointment of Ms. Kemp-Williams was made by a unanimous vote of the Board of Supervisors, with all members present. On August 20th, the Board will act upon a standard County personnel services contract in open session to finalize her appointment.

Kemp-Williams currently serves as the Senior Deputy County Counsel for Colusa County, California, where she has worked since 2008. During her tenure in Colusa County she has provided legal services to a variety of departments, officials, and special districts, including: Probation; Public Works; Airports; Health and Human Services; Personnel; Airports; Agricultural Commissioner; Sheriff; Auditor; Treasure-Tax Collector; Assessor; Risk Management; Clerk-Recorder; and, Public Administrator. Prior to moving to Colusa County – a rural, agricultural-based county of about 21,000 inhabitants
