The Semi-Official results for the local elections are now in. Provisional ballots remain, but election officials say the provisional ballots usually dont change the end results. In the case of Inyo County, 1,000 ballots remained to be counted.

For the Inyo Supervisors, Richard Cervantes pulled 326 votes or 49%. This will lead to a runoff with Mike Dorame who had 239 votes and 39% of the votes cast. Bill Wenzel had 99 votes.

In Inyo District 4, Marty Fortney will take over for retiring supervisor Jim Bilyeu. Fortney had 456 votes to 337 votes for Butch Hambleton.

Supervisor Susan Cash received 55% of the votes in District 2 at 356. Ted Gardner had 44% with 288 votes.

The Inyo Judge race will come down to a November runoff between Brian Lamb and Tom Hardy. Lamb had 1700 votes and 43% of the total cast. Tom Hardy had 1247 votes or 32%. Mark Johnson had 957 votes for 24%.

For Marshall, Floyd Barton ran unopposed. He had 3022 votes giving him 98% of the votes cast. There were 52 write in candidates.

In the race for Mammoth Town Council, Skip Harvey keeps his seat on the council with 845 votes. Jo Bacon will join Harvey on the council with 651 votes. Long time councilman Kirk Stapp had 538 votes, and Chris Tolley pulled 266 votes.

Mammoth Measure R, the sales tax raise to support parks and recreation, passed with 1040 votes in favor, giving the tax measure 71% of the votes cast.

In Mono District 2, Hap Hazard will keep his position as supervisor. Hazard received 526 votes. Joseph Conti had 224.

In Mono County District 3, Dorothy Burdette had the lead with 278 votes, but she did not achieve 51% so there will be a runoff in November. Incumbent Vikki Bauer received 263 votes. Jack Winkler had 84 votes.

In District 4, Supervisor Bill Reid ran unopposed. He received 570 votes.
For Mono County Assessor, Election Officials have Jody Henning the winner with 1352 votes. Bob Musil had 813, Keith Randy Cook had 530, and Stu Bownes had 137.
