Jorge Espitia of Mammoth Lakes accepted a plea deal from the Mono County District Attorney on 19 charges ranging from selling methamphetamines to minors and conducting sexual acts with minors.
Under the agreement, Espitia will plead guilty to 12 felonies and one misdemeanor and serve 25 years in prison.
Espitia was arrested last May by Mono County District Attorney investigators with the assistance of Mammoth Lakes Police Department. At that time, his bail was set at $500,000.

I hear you, but do you know the details of the trial? Why did the prosecutor not get a straight up murder conviction? Yeah, sounds like murder for sure, but I just wonder what happened so that they could get manslaughter but not murder. But even murderers can get out… Read more »

You say the man “got 10 years for manslaughter.”
If so, he wasn’t convicted of murder.
There is a big difference between murder and manslaughter.
Not that it matters, but if he was convicted of manslaughter he didn’t murder anyone.

Judging by his mugshot I think he’s going to be even more dangerous when he is released from prison, people who commit like these cannot ever be rehabilitated so I hope he’s real popular in prison any we won’t have to worry about him being released. I don’t often feel… Read more »
