A surveillance camera inside the downstairs bar at Whiskey Creek in Mammoth Lakes recently captured a suspect seen loading up bottles of alcohol and walking out with them – twice.

Mammoth Police Detective Doug Hornbeck has released photos from that tape. They show the suspect, a white male between 25 and 30 years old, short with thin dark hair, clean shaven and last seen wearing blue pants and a white, long-sleeved shirt.

Detective Hornbeck said that the suspect used force to gain entry into a locked bar located on the first floor. The surveillance video showed the man who walked out of the restaurant with trash cans full of miscellaneous bottles of alcohol. The detective said the suspect made two trips with stolen liquor. The value of the stolen goods exceeds $400. The crime occurred Saturday, April 18th between 11:30 and midnight at Whiskey Creek in Mammoth Lakes.

If you recognize this man and have any information about him, please contact Mammoth Police Detective Doug Hornbeck at 934-2011, extension 17 or send an email to [email protected].
