Mammoth Community Water District Staff remind residents that
that Level 1 water restrictions remain in effect for Mammoth until a
significant volume of snowpack accumulates in the mountains.

Level one restrictions mean a three day per week outdoor
watering schedule and no watering outdoors between 10:00am and 5:00pm or all day on Wednesday. Watering by hand is okay on any day but not between 10:00am and 5:00pm.
Water officials also say that level 1 restrictions mean no hosing down
sidewalks and parking areas.

You can wash your car, but officials say that you have to
have a spray attachment that automatically shuts off, or use a commercial
car wash.

Water district officials say that the purpose of the
level 1 water restrictions is to ensure sufficient supplies for the essentials
like fire suppression and indoor uses.
