Coming off her winning runs at the CIF-Southern Section meets, Meads, a junior, went to venerable Woodward Park in Fresno and captured second place in the Division 5 girls race, clocking 18 minutes, 37 seconds over the 5K course.

Julia Maxwell, a senior from Branson High, won the race in 18:12. Junior Natalia Laspada of La Jolla Country Day School was third in 18:40.
