Just after midnight Wednesday, Inyo Narcotics officers arrested two local residents and seized an estimated $25,000 worth of methamphetamine as well as a long list of pharmaceuticals.

Inyo Narcotic officers, along with the Highway Patrol, Bishop Police, and Inyo Sheriff deputies, arrested one suspect on the road in Big Pine. The other suspect was arrested at home in Chipmunk Canyon.

INET Commander Jeff Hollowell reports that officers served a search warrant on 52 year old Joyce Geissinger and her vehicle in Big Pine early Wednesday morning. With the help of the Highway Patrol K-9, officers found a reported half pound of methamphetamine, a gram of cocaine, and $1000 in cash.

After the car stop, officers headed to a home in Chipmunk Canyon, where Geissinger lives with 59 year old Gary Sorensen. With a search warrant in hand, officers report that they found scales, pay-owe sheets, a small amount of methamphetamine, cocaine, and more cash.

Other drugs seized in this series of arrests include methadone, percote, oxycondone, valium, Tylenol with codeine, Xanax, Percoset, and marijuana.

Geissinger was arrested for possession, possession for sale and transportation of methamphetamine. Sorensen was arrested for possession, and possession for sale of methamphetamine. Bail was set at $10,000.
