A successful outcome in the search for a man missing in Yosemite since Sunday. Park Officials report that 22 year old Esmin Garmendia-Barrios was found alive and responsive on Wednesday after noon at about 2:15 pm.

Mr. Garmendia was last seen Sunday near the Washburn Point on the glacier point road. In the time that he was missing, Garmendia put in some mileage.

Adrienne Freeman with the Park Service reports that Mr. Garmendia was located by helicopter near Mt. Starr King. Starr King was inside the designated search area, south and east of Washburn Point

Almost 200 searchers from Yosemite National Park, the California Conservation Corps (CCC), and Mono, Tuolumne, San Mateo, Marin, Santa Clara, Ventura, Fresno, Contra Costa, Santa Barbara and Sierra Madre Counties, as well as the Bay Area Mountain Rescue Unit and China Lake Search and Rescue participated in the search
