Three snowboarders, missing in the Yosemite backcountry since Monday, were found alive Tuesday afternoon after spending a cold night out. Adrienne Freeman with Yosemite National Park reports that the three boarders were supposed to meet their ride Monday evening after a trip into the South Fork of the Merced River area.
65 rescuers with Yosemite and Mariposa SAR were involved in the search that went into the night Monday.
Details were still coming in at news time, but Freeman reports that a helicopter spotted the three snowboarders yesterday afternoon. All three were responsive and walked to the helicopter on their own according to Freeman
