The volunteers of Eastern Sierra Wildlife Care save the lives of our many beautiful wild animals each year – from raccoons to hawks, eagles, and many other creatures.

If this sounds like something you would like to do, attend the new volunteer orientation this Sunday, March 27, from 1 to 3pm at the Union Bank meeting room on Main St. in Bishop. For more info, call 872-1487.

Many local volunteers have found their work with Eastern Sierra Wildlife Care to be a very rewarding experience. Director of the Center, Cindy Kamler says volunteering to help injured and orphaned wild birds and mammals is not for everyone. Volunteers receive training before they start to work but there is always more to learn. As Cindy put it, the work challenges the body, brain and heart.
