Inyo Sheriff Bill Lutze confirmed that Under Sheriff Jim Jones, Lieutenant Steve Rogers and Sergeant Paul Bedell will retire at the end of December. This leaves a large hole in the upper level of the Sheriff’s Department, but Sheriff Lutze said that currently he and others are interviewing current officers to fill the top spots with internal promotions.
