Robert (Big Bob} K. Morris was born on May 25, 1924 in Sherman, California. He passed away August 20, 2017 surrounded by his family.

Bob is survived by his son and “daughter” Bobby and Mary Morris of Bishop. Six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Marge Morris and his sons Ron Morris and Mike Morris.

Bob and Marge were married 60 years. The family moved to Inyo County in 1969. They lived at Bishop Creek, the City of Bishop, and Benton and finally back to Bishop. Always with Bobby and Mary by their side.

Bob enlisted in the Army after his junior year in high school. He was deployed to Germany during World War II where he was captured and held as a POW for 18 months. When he returned home he began a career as an Ironworker. Following his retirement from Ironwork he had several jobs including setting up mobile homes for Ken Hooker of Bishop Mobile Homes and working at Copeland Lumber.

Bob could be found at many local yard sales, auto junk yards in his beloved garage or enjoying a baseball game on TV. (with the sound off of course.)

Bob will be greatly missed.

Graveside services will be held Friday August 25, 2017 at 1:00 at the East Line Street Cemetery. A Viewing will be held Thursday from 6-7 p.m. at the mortuary.
