Doris Santiago is a licensed Psychotherapist and Life Coach at the Alpine Center in Bishop.  She has a Masters Degree in Psychology and a Masters Degree in Alcohol and Drug Counseling along with being certified in Domestic Violence Treatment and Intervention.  Doris has worked and lived in Bishop since 1986.  She has a son, Donovan Santiago  and two granddaughters.    She came to Bishop because of the appeal of living in a small town where she could enjoy the “down to earth living.”   She spends her spare time pursuing her hobbies of art, music, gardening and specializing in Filipino cooking.

Doris feels she can contribute to Rotary because of her belief in mindful living and wholeness, along with her optimism, patience, tenacity, and faith in God.  She believes in Rotary’s slogan “Service Above Self” and is ready to start working on their service programs which include a community garden, helping at the schools and other activities that involve giving to those in need.

When asked if there was something interesting about her, Doris answered she was born and raised in the Philippines and has a passion for restoring people to wholeness and connection with each other.  She helps by providing support and encouragement.

President DeEtte Johnston said she is honored to have Doris as a club member and is looking forward to working with her.

The Rotary Club of Bishop meets every Tuesday at noon at Astorga’s Mexican Restaurant.  Visitors are always welcome.  Lunch is $12.00   Call DeEtte Johnston for information about our Rotary club:  760 872 797
