download 1From the Bishop Police Department: So, this for this year’s event, we surpassed our goal of 71 kids  – and ended up getting to take 77 Inyo and Mono area kids shopping on Saturday. Each kid was given a $200 gift card that we are able to purchase through the continued donations that we are so fortunate to receive. It looks like we spent $15,400 on gift cards! I would estimate that we had around 75 law enforcement partners for shopping the day of from Inyo County SO, Mono County SO, Bishop PD, Mammoth Lakes PD, Inyo and Mono County Probation, CHP from Bishop, Mammoth and Bridgeport offices, Fish and Wildlife from Inyo and Mono County and US Forest Service. USFS had 2 officers visiting the area from Lake Isabella that also participated. At Kmart, I’d say that we had around 25 volunteers that handled the gift wrapping. Our breakfast was donated and prepared by the Bishop Lion’s Club and the Tri County Fair donated the cost of the building rental. Every dollar that was raised or donated fro Shop With a Cop went directly to our kids.
